2016 marks the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service—a defining moment that offers an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate accomplishments, as well as prepare for the next century of stewardship and engagement.
Since 2011, a Call to Action has served as the roadmap for employees and partners to advance a shared vision toward 2016. It describes specific goals and measurable actions that chart a new direction for the National Park Service as it enters its second century.
With over 400 national park units and countless more programs and partnerships, there is great work happening every day. 30 Stories in 30 Days offers a glimpse into these successes, specifically of the Northeast Region, which spans from Maine to Virginia. We hope you discover some new parks and programs throughout the duration of this project, and that you share these posts with your friends.
