MCSO is looking for a murder suspect, JOSEPH CARTER

Today, November 10, 2016 Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Creola Police Department to assist in the investigation of a murder.  MCSO was contacted approximately 2:19 am and responded to I-65 North just south of the General W.K. Wilson Jr. Bridge.  When MCSO Deputies arrived they found Joe Nathan Thomas with gunshot wound to the back of his head.  A female witness on the scene stated that she had been in the vehicle with Thomas and Carter earlier that evening.  She also stated that she and Thomas were outside the vehicle when she heard a gun shot and saw Thomas fall to the ground.

Semmes Area Juvenile Charged With Murder

Noah Jones, age 17, has been charged with murder in the death of Danthony Sanchez Means. Means died Sunday as a result of a gunshot to the neck in the 6400 block of Lillian Drive in Mobile. A previous suspect, Trenteon King, age 17, was arrested Sunday. Bookings and arrest history give Jones’ address as having a 36575 zip code.

At approximately 8:40 am, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a property owner who found a body inside a garbage can on his property.  At this time the body has not been identified, however it has been confirmed that it is a male.  The body was discovered on property located on Cemetery Road, approximately 1 1/2 miles from Walter Tanner Road in Wilmer.  MCSO is continuing to investigate and there is no further information at this time. MCSO Checks For Alcohol Compliance At Local Stores

On June 28, 2016, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office worked jointly with an Alabama Law Enforcement Agent-Alcohol Division in an attempt to locate businesses in Northern Mobile County that were selling alcoholic beverages to underage minors. In the operation a minor certified through the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency was sent into nineteen stores in an attempt to purchase alcoholic beverages. During the detail the following store sold alcohol to the underage minor:

Clark Exxon, 6300 Lott Rd. Semmes, Al. The following eighteen stores complied with Alabama State Law in not selling alcohol to the underage minor:

Shell, 9515 Lott Rd.

On June 1, 2015, at approximately 10:30 pm, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was notified about a missing person. MCSO Deputies went to 10328 Burlington Drive Grand Bay, Alabama in reference to a missing Alzheimer’s patient Bille E. Smith Jr. (09/23/55). Brenda Dale, who identified herself as Bille Smith’s caretaker, stated that she last saw Smith walking down the street around 7:30 pm. Dale told MCSO Deputies Mr. Smith has been reported missing three times in the past two years. MCSO K-9 units responded to the scene and searched the wooded areas near the residence.
